The Voice: Part 2

Those duets were amazing, especially Keith and Darren and Delta and Rachael; both pairings suited each other so well. AND MAHALIA AND JIMMY. Considering that I, um, didn't actually know who Jimmy Barnes was before watching this show...and that I'd heard of Keith Urban but hadn't really heard his music before...and had heard Good Charlotte songs and the name but couldn't really link them...yeah, just ignore that. I know them all now. The point is that Jimmy's entrance was amazing.

4th place: Sarah de Bono.
- She has an amazing voice and definitely deserved her spot. Also, I believe that she could have won except for the fact that the other three finalists are all different from most popular artists while she would fit among them. However, her voice is flawless.

3rd place: Rachael Leahcar
- Also expected. I absolutely loved her voice, especially its depth, throughout the competition and wouldn't have minded if she came first but, again, in comparison to the other two I believe that this is where she fit.

2nd place: Darren Percival
- I really believe that he could have won but agreed with this positioning when compared with Karise.

1st place: Karise Eden
- GO KARISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She's so adorable and has such an AMAZING voice.

Joel and Keith sharing a seat :). Those seats are rather large. Hahahaha - Seal piggybacking Joel. I am definitely watching next season and every season while these coaches are coaching.

The Voice

I have a longer post that I was typing up on my school laptop, but I really want to post this before The Voice is over, so here goes.

Predictions:
1. Karise
2. Darren
3. Rachael
4. Sarah

I like all of the final contestants. I think that Mahalia would have done better at this stage of the competition but Sarah has an amazing voice so definitely deserves to be here too. I liked the four finalists throughout the competition but would have to say that Karise, Darren and Rachael are my favourites and the great thing is that I don't really care who wins; I'd be a little surprised if Sarah did but they are all great and I can see how any of my favourites could win. My parents and I were discussing earlier how Sarah is fantastic and sings perfectly but the other two all have something special and extraordinary about them, while there are a lot of artists of her style.

Their rendition of The Chain by Fleetwood Mac was amazing and I can't wait to hear the duets. Joel and Lionel Richie's duet yesterday was awesome. Speaking of, Joel and Sarah's duet just then was amazing. Joel is such an excellent singer and can sing such a range of genres...hahaha, Keith and Delta stood on their chairs as the standing ovation.

Allez les bleus!

Whoo, go NSW!!! I've never really been a State of Origin fan...as in, I had to ask Mum which team was which even though the scores showed which colour each team was. But I was knitting a scarf for a friend's birthday and the only other mildly interesting thing on was Chocolat, a movie set in France that seemed interesting but at the time I turned it on had a weird scene. So we settled for the State of Origin. And it was...interesting. Neither of us really knew the rules (Dad told me about the point system a week or two ago but, seriously, there was NO WAY that I was going to remember the specifics) so we just picked it up as we went along. AND NSW WON! After a five (I think?) year losing streak, we won. Well, by 'we', I kind of include myself as I watched but at the same time I could only care a tiny bit less about it before this afternoon and wouldn't really lament if I never watch it again. It was a good game though. I also love the fact that I could say 'Allez les bleus!' It also reminded me that, as my netball team wears blue, I can (and, if I remember, will) say that at our games from now on.
